Baby Program (under 6 months old) ~ $1,760

PDS believes in using positive reinforcement, redirection (example; giving a toy when pup is nipping), body language, marker words (“Yes”) and food motivation to communicate with our “baby” puppies.

For unwanted behaviors we use marker words (“No”) accompanied by a follow through correction. For this age, corrections consist of grabbing the pup’s scruff (replicating mother’s “bite” without using tools) and using body language to guide. All corrections that are made are dictated by the situation and how the individual puppy responds.

It’s important to note, we do not create fear with any techniques and approaches. When we work with pups under 6 months, our #1 goal is to create the most curious, confident puppy so that we can mold them into a well-balanced adult dog, as bad behaviors arise.

Baby program includes:

  • Confidence boosting

  • Potty training

  • Kennel training

  • Leash introduction

  • Yes & No “markers”

  • Learning their name & coming when called

  • Good behaviors inside of the home

  • Bath and nail trim ($70 value)

  • One 2 hour go home lesson ($180 value)

Pup program includes:

  • Everything included in “Baby Program”

  • Introduction to tools

  • Introduction to all of our goals

  • Bath and nail trim ($70 value)

  • Professional Tools ~ prong collar, off-leash collar (aka stimulation/e-collar) & reinforced safety leash ($400 value)

  • Two 90 minute go home lessons ($300 value)

  • One 60 minute lesson, 2 weeks after going home ($90 value)

Pup Program (6 mos.-1 Year old) ~ $2,760

For puppies that have NOT previously been through our “Baby” program, we will work on communication to, hopefully, make up for inconsistencies the pup had before 6 mos. of age. We will then start the introductions to training included in our adult dog programs. Our initiative is for you to take all the training and information given in this “Pup” program and use it to continue training into your dog’s adulthood. Owners that want more polished results, less hands-on work as well as any off-leash training, should continue into the board and training program after 1 years of age.
